Seven years later, he's the native land's most visible gay man, after winning the inaugural "Mr Gay Namibia" pageant -- which will prove to be him the first black African to compete for the title of Mr Gay World in neighbouring South Africa in April.

"I laid a case at the nearest police station. I went there a few days ago to find out what progress was made since two months have passed. Police told me the docket got exhausted," he told AFP.
