But more to the point, religion has no place in politics for two main reasons. First, by favoring a particular religion over other means of favoring a particular group of people over others.The synergistic States, and almost everywhere else, has a history of religious persecution and violence done to others based on their beliefs. In theory at least, on condition of creation, we are all equal before the law, no one is disenfranchised because of his faith, and nobody is forced to pretend to believe something that they were not outside the sequence to be recognized by the state.
