Rape accused Pc living 'nightmare'
A director of the police in Bradford, who is a former Mr Gay UK, fought back tears as he described the "devastating" impact of defilement allegations and sexual assault has had on his life.
PC Mark Carter, 28, is alleged to have sexually assaulted three men and raped a fourth on a Christmas night, with colleagues in Leeds.
He admitted he had "stupidly" bombarded his mind as well in the night-out, but denied the execution of the attacks.
Describe the effect the allegations had on his life, he told the jury: "He has had a devastating effect on me.
"It was my whole life upside down. I embarked on a living nightmare mitigated."
The officer is alleged to have dragged one of his victims through the skin of the teeth and raped in a hotel room.
Carter denied being violent, aggressive Leeds Crown Court: "I'm not a violent person.
"We had gone back to the interactive fun, a sexual encounter. I did not bring it to the beat."
The court heard Carter met the man of Loft Bar in Queens Court, Leeds, and they eventually return to the Etap caravanserai in the city center in December 2009.
