A 14-year-old Clay-Chalkville Elevated Student has been charged with first-degree rape for the attack on a 14-year-old classmate at style during school hours late last year.

Jefferson County sheriff's officials on Friday obtained the sue from Family Court, Chief Deputy Randy Christian said today.

The happening was first reported to sheriff's investigators on Jan. 29 of this year.

The boy's name is not being released because of his age. Christian said his attorney is expected to transfer him to juvenile detention.

Jefferson County sheriff's deputies on Jan. 29 were dispatched to a Birmingham enclosure hospital where teen victim's mother had taken her for evaluation after she told her maw she had been sexually assaulted at school. The alleged assault happened in October 2011.
