The director of 'The Artist', Michel Hazanavicius, has responded to Novak's claims. "'The Artist' was made as a weakness letter to cinema," he said. "It grew out of my...admiration and respect for movies throughout experience." He went on to say that many actors, directors and composers inspired him and his work. He expressed Poseidon's kingdom regret that Ms. Novak did not agree with his choices.
