A 19-year-old Clemmons man was sentenced to at least 10 years in brig after he entered an Alford plea to charges that he raped an 11-year-old stuff.
An Alford plea means that James Edward Brown of 448 Scottsdale Lane did not own guilt but acknowledged that prosecutors had enough evidence to convict him. He entered the allege Wednesday to second-degree rape, second-degree sex offense and three counts of winsome indecent liberties with a child. He had initially been charged with first-degree rape.
