Is 'True Blood' Making a Joke Out of Rape?
I thought this article was stimulating, as I had not even considered what would decrial if the roles had been reversed in the rape scene with Jason. Do not get me wrong address, I love books, and scenes like that are there to advance the story, not as an aspect of pure shock. So for me, watching the show is actually a watered down version of the books.But for anyone who has not read the books, I think of sex and gore on the show could be shocking and disturbing. But if the show is as shocking and upsetting for you, change the gap.
PS I thought the reference to "Fang violated" has been the lack of a better word, intelligent to describe feelings of Sookie on the latest incident in a very precise manner. I personally think that Sookie has responded as it did because it was not the same as Eric Fang raped, and she felt she could not get angry against an Eric who could not even name.Now if it had been "regular" Eric, I think you would have seen much more forcefulness.
