I'm not Comprehensive, but I'm a Christian. The performance last night had to go through several layers of approval (I arrogate) to actually make it onto the broadcast. How many people were involved? I would imagine dozens had something to do with it at some rank. I wonder if anyone bothered to point out prior to the broadcast that it was one of the most offensive performances air on network television in the past couple of years. There is no question that it was designed to hurt. Offense was not merely a byproduct of the performance…it was the point. There are many things that are far, far more loathsome than this, but they are generally not found in the mainstream. I am 100% in favor of free expression, and I would not require things of this sort to be censored…but was it a good business arbitration? Hard to say. On the one hand, it went out of its way to satirize religious belief. On the other hand, I'm longhand about it on this site…I can assure you I don't have a habit of writing about Nicki Minaj. Acquisition the world, sell your soul? Looks like a few people have made that acceptance and decided to broadcast it, just in case God didn't get their memo.
